Part of the TruUltra® product range, the TruIV Block® allows learners to gain proficiency in the skills associated with IV cannulation. Featuring 8 veins (superficial and deep) ranging from 4-8mm in diameter, users can practise the use of ultrasound during IV procedures.

The TruIV Block is part of the TruUltra® range and is designed to help learners build repeatable competence in ultrasound-guided IV cannulation. With multi-depth vessels, fascia layers, and real-time blood withdrawal confirmation, it delivers a realistic ultrasound visual, high-throughput training experience with rapid setup and dependable longevity.

The TruIV Block features 8 veins across superficial and deep planes, ranging from 4–8mm in diameter. It supports lifelike tissue response including vascular tenting upon successful vessel entry, with fascia layers integrated to enhance anatomical realism.

Designed to support structured ultrasound training, the model enables longitudinal and transverse viewing, supporting probe handling, image acquisition, and vessel identification across multiple depths and diameters – ideal for progressive learner pathways.

Learners can confirm successful cannulation by withdrawing blood, reinforcing correct technique, tip positioning, and procedural confidence within a controlled simulation environment.

Unique self-regenerating TruUltra® materials reduce visible needle tracking to support repeated practice at scale. The insert is designed to facilitate approximately 4,000 needle penetrations, supporting sustained programme utilisation and cost control.

The TruIV Block is optimised for classroom delivery with <5 minutes initial setup, a cost-effective replacement insert designed to minimise disruption to teaching time, and compatibility with all ultrasound machine brands. The unit is delivered in a durable carry case for safe storage and transport.
