It is also the foundation torso of the Child CRiSis™ system — arms and legs for IV access, intraosseous infusion, and blood pressure monitoring can be added at any time, making this the correct choice for PALS simulation labs in India that want a scalable platform that grows with their training programme. For simulation labs that need to run paediatric airway management, difficult airway scenarios, CPR, and ACLS defibrillation training on a single torso without a separate defibrillation trainer, this is purpose-built for that requirement.
The defibrillation chest skin incorporates an internal load box that absorbs the full strength of every shock from any standard manual, automatic, or semi-automatic external monitor defibrillator — protecting both trainees and equipment. Four ECG monitoring sites and two defibrillation pad sites are present, enabling ECG monitoring and shock delivery training with the trainee’s own department defibrillator. The Optional Interactive ECG Simulator (LF03670U) can be added to enable ECG rhythm recognition and arrhythmia training through the same torso. The airway module — with slightly anterior position, instructor-activated tongue swelling and laryngospasm — supports digital, oral, and nasal intubation alongside ET, EOA, PTL, LMA, EGTA, Combitube®, King Systems, and all supraglottic airway devices. Jaw thrust technique and Sellick manoeuvre training are supported. Separate bifurcated lungs enable bilateral auscultation confirmation of correct tube placement. The inflatable stomach bladder provides oesophageal intubation consequence feedback. CPR training uses the standard paediatric hand placement and compression depth for a 5-year-old torso. Manual carotid pulse enables integrated assessment within the paediatric resuscitation sequence.
