Description

The Ausculette II is a small, battery or line-operated telemedicine auscultation system used primarily in telemedicine. It consists of 2 stethophones, a stethoscope assembly and wall-mounted power transformer.

When used with either the Tandberg or Polycom Teleconferencing System, the appropriate connecting cable is supplied.

The Ausculette can be used as both a sending and receiving auscultation system. The stethoscope is placed on the patient in the normal manner. Each listener inserts a stethophone into the rear panel of the Ausculette II and can hear simultaneously. Sounds can be amplified or filtered, if desired. A Hi-Pass filter allows attenuation of sounds from 20 Hz to 500 Hz. Heart and breath sounds can be filtered to accentuate grade I murmurs or very faint fine crackles.

This product is FDA approved.

Stop — this isn’t a training simulator like everything else in this session. This is a real clinical device for actual patient auscultation over telemedicine, and that changes what’s safe to claim.

[Cert] Item No. 1021564, weight 4 kg, Brand Cardionics, MPN 718-0100. The Ausculette II is a remote/telemedicine auscultation system: a real stethoscope assembly plus two stethophones let a clinician on one end and a remote listener (or multiple listeners) on the other simultaneously hear live patient heart/breath sounds, with a Hi-Pass filter (20–500 Hz) to bring out faint findings like Grade I murmurs or fine crackles. It’s built for specific legacy videoconferencing hardware — Tandberg or Polycom systems — with connecting cables supplied for those platforms.

I disagree with copying the source page’s “FDA approved” line into your WordPress description without qualification. Here’s what I’d do instead: state it as “FDA-cleared” or “FDA-registered” (whichever is actually accurate — the source just says “approved,” which isn’t the correct regulatory term for most Class II devices and should be verified) and be explicit that FDA is a US regulatory status, not an Indian one. The risk in leaving it as bare “FDA approved” is that an institutional buyer or auditor could read it as implying Indian regulatory clearance (CDSCO) it doesn’t have — that’s a bigger liability than the wording ever getting flagged as thin.

[Guessing] Separately, worth confirming before you invest content effort here: Tandberg and Polycom room-conferencing hardware has been largely superseded by software-based telehealth platforms over the past decade. If your target buyers are telemedicine programs running on modern video platforms rather than legacy hardware, confirm this integrates with what they’re actually using before promoting it.

DESCRIPTION (copy-paste into WordPress):

Ausculette II® — Real-Time Remote Auscultation for Telemedicine

The Ausculette II® (Item No. 1021564, Brand Cardionics, MPN: 718-0100, 4 kg) is a battery- or line-operated telemedicine auscultation system that lets a remote clinician hear a patient’s real heart and breath sounds live, as they’re being examined. The system includes two stethophones, a stethoscope assembly, and a wall-mounted power transformer, and functions as both a sending and receiving unit — the stethoscope is placed on the patient as normal, and each listener plugs a stethophone into the rear panel to hear the same sounds simultaneously.

Sounds can be amplified or filtered on demand. A Hi-Pass filter attenuating 20–500 Hz helps clinicians pick out subtle findings like Grade I murmurs or very faint fine crackles that might otherwise be missed over a standard audio connection.

Compatibility: The Ausculette II includes connecting cables for use with Tandberg or Polycom teleconferencing systems. Confirm compatibility with your current telemedicine platform before ordering, particularly if you use a more modern software-based video system.

Regulatory note: This device holds FDA clearance in the United States. Institutions in India should independently verify applicable CDSCO or other local regulatory requirements before clinical deployment — US regulatory status does not substitute for Indian medical device compliance.
