Description

Instructors spend significant classroom time teaching where to hear specific heart and lung sounds. Students must learn where the base heart sound may be best heard or where the bell should be placed to hear stress or wheezing in a young child. Site specificity is obtained through an exciting new “wireless” technique in which the student uses anatomic landmarks on the manikin to locate the site where a specific sound should be heard. If correct, they will hear the appropriate sound through the stethoscope and/or external speakers.

Why Choose the Acute Myo-Infarcts Massive Anterior Sound Menu for Your Simulation Lab in India?

The Acute Myo-Infarcts Massive Anterior Sound Menu (Item No. 1018188 / W49415, MPN: ST2M-48, 0.07 kg, 16 × 7 × 2 cm) by Nasco Healthcare, USA is a specialized auscultation menu card for the W49407 auscultation simulator, purpose-built for teaching ECG-lead correlation in acute myocardial infarction and associated arrhythmias. Unlike general rhythm menu cards, this card trains students to recognize how infarct location and rhythm disturbance present differently across four cardiac leads (I, II, III, and a chest lead), reinforcing the clinical link between auscultation findings and 12-lead ECG interpretation — a core competency for cardiology nursing, ACLS, and internal medicine programmes.

The card presents 16 recorded sounds across four clinical scenarios, each captured over four leads: Massive Anterior MI (leads I, II, III, V6), Inferolateral sinus bradycardia (leads I, II, III, V5), Anteroseptal sinus arrhythmia (leads I, II, III, V4), and Inferoposterior sinus bradycardia (leads I, II, III, V2). This lead-by-lead structure lets instructors demonstrate how the same underlying pathology sounds different depending on chest-lead placement — a distinction most auscultation training aids skip entirely.

For NMC-mandated cardiology skill labs, ACLS training centres, and medicine department simulation programmes in India already using the W49407 auscultation simulator, this menu card adds a case-based, ECG-correlated dimension to rhythm recognition training that complements the general ACLS Sound Menu series (ST2M-35/36).

Why Buy from SEM Trainers? SEM Trainers & Systems is an authorized distributor of Nasco Healthcare products in India with over 30 years of experience supplying medical simulators and auscultation training accessories to 1,500+ institutions across 28 states. We provide pan-India delivery and dedicated after-sales support.

Q: What makes this different from a standard arrhythmia sound menu?
A: This card is organized by clinical case rather than isolated rhythm — each of the four myocardial infarction/arrhythmia presentations is recorded across four ECG leads, training auscultation-to-ECG correlation rather than sound recognition alone.

Q: Which simulator is this compatible with?
A: The W49407 auscultation simulator.

Q: Is this a standalone trainer or an accessory?
A: This is a sound menu accessory card — it requires the W49407 auscultation simulator base unit to function.
