Why Choose the Nasco Healthcare Intradermal Injection Simulator for Your Simulation Lab in India?

The Intradermal Injection Simulator (Item No. LF01008U) by Nasco Healthcare, USA is a forearm intradermal injection training simulator weighing 0.77 kg and measuring 33 × 28 × 13 cm. Modelled as a realistic forearm from the wrist to just below the elbow in vinyl skin that replicates the look and feel of real skin, the simulator provides eight dedicated intradermal injection sites — giving each trainee multiple attempts per session and supporting high-volume cohort training without requiring frequent simulator replacement. For nursing colleges, allied health training institutes, hospital in-service education teams, and NMC-mandated clinical skills labs across India that need a dedicated intradermal injection trainer with visible injection confirmation, the Intradermal Injection Simulator provides both the anatomical forearm presentation and the characteristic welt feedback that makes intradermal technique verification possible.

Intradermal injection is technically the most demanding of the three injection routes — subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intradermal — because it requires the needle to be inserted at a very shallow angle, bevel up, into the dermis layer itself rather than into deeper tissue. Correct placement is confirmed in clinical practice by the appearance of a pale, raised wheal or bleb at the injection site. The simulator replicates this clinical feedback directly: when fluid is correctly injected into the dermis layer of the simulator, a characteristic skin welt forms at the injection site, giving the trainee immediate visual confirmation that their angle, depth, and technique were correct. After practice, the welt is removed simply by withdrawing the fluid, restoring the site for the next trainee. Each of the eight sites is reusable by dozens of students before requiring maintenance, making per-session consumable cost very low. The simulator is supplied complete with sealant, syringe, and storage box. A liquid skin repair kit (M-1013686) is available separately to extend the usable life of the simulator surface.

For institutions that also need subcutaneous injection training on an abdominal site, the Nasco Healthcare Injection Belly (WA28395U) is available. For IM injection training across all four anatomical sites with electronic audiovisual feedback, the Complete Intramuscular Injection Training Kit (8000883 [3011909]) by 3B Scientific is available. For a second intradermal injection simulator option with a medium skin tone, the Life/form® Intradermal Injection Simulator – Medium is also available from SEM Trainers.

We provide pan-India delivery, on-site installation, faculty orientation, and dedicated after-sales support.

Q: How does the trainee know if the intradermal injection was performed correctly? A: A visible skin welt forms at the injection site when fluid is correctly placed in the dermis layer — replicating the clinical wheal that confirms correct intradermal technique. The welt is removed by withdrawing the fluid after practice.

Q: How many injection sites does the simulator have, and how many times can each be used? A: The simulator has eight intradermal injection sites. Each site is reusable by dozens of students before maintenance is required.

Q: What is included with the simulator? A: Sealant, syringe, and storage box are included. A liquid skin repair kit (M-1013686) is available separately to maintain the skin surface.

Q: What skin tone does this simulator present? A: The standard Intradermal Injection Simulator presents in a light skin tone. For a medium skin tone option, the Life/form® Intradermal Injection Simulator – Medium is also available from SEM Trainers.
