Life/form® Advanced “Airway Larry” Airway Management Trainer offers tongue swelling and laryngospasm in addition to all the features on the standard models. Your students can now be presented with the additional challenges they may face in the real world. This Life/form® airway management trainer simulates a nonanesthetized patient for practicing intubation, ventilation, and suction techniques. Realistic anatomy and landmarks include teeth, tongue, oral and nasal pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, arytenoids, false cords, true vocal cords, trachea, lungs, and esophagus. The trainer allows you to practice oral, digital, and nasal intubation, as well as E.T., E.O.A., P.T.L., L.M.A., E.G.T.A., Combitube®, and KING System insertion. Applying pressure to the cricoid cartilage changes the position of the trachea and closes the esophagus, allowing realistic practice of the Sellick maneuver. With its slightly anterior position, swelling tongue, and vocal cords, the Advanced “Airway Larry” is a great trainer for introductory as well as advanced training. Suction techniques and proper cuff inflation may also be practiced and evaluated.

The stomach rise — absent from the stand-mounted LF03685U — makes this the correct choice for programmes where visible gastric distension during oesophageal intubation training is a specific training objective. This head attaches directly to the Life/form® CPARLENE® CPR Manikin and any adult CRiSis™ Manikin, enabling combined airway management and CPR training on the same platform without a separate stand.
The anatomical landmark set covers teeth, tongue, oral and nasal pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, arytenoids, false cords, true vocal cords, trachea, bifurcated lungs, and oesophagus — providing complete visual and tactile reference for every stage of the intubation sequence. The slightly anterior airway position combined with swelling tongue and vocal cords creates the genuinely challenging airway geometry that advanced airway training requires. Digital, oral, and nasal intubation are all supported, alongside ET, EOA, PTL, LMA, EGTA, Combitube®, and King Systems device insertion. The Sellick manoeuvre is practised by applying pressure to the cricoid cartilage, which changes the tracheal position and closes the oesophagus. Suction technique and correct cuff inflation can both be practised and evaluated. The durable one-piece construction and bifurcated lungs support reliable bilateral auscultation confirmation of correct tube placement. A mounting kit (1019812) is available separately to mount this head to a CPARLENE® or CRiSis™ Manikin. Includes pump spray lubricant.

Q: What is the difference between this head (LF03684U) and the Advanced Trainer Head with Stand (LF03685U)?
A: LF03684U is board-mounted (head only, no stand), includes stomach rise, but has no manual carotid pulse. LF03685U is stand-mounted, includes manual carotid pulse, but has no stomach rise. Choose LF03684U when stomach distension training and CPARLENE®/CRiSis™ manikin attachment are required. Choose LF03685U when integrated pulse assessment alongside difficult airway training is the priority.
Q: Does this head include a stand or carry case?
A: No. This configuration is a board-mounted head only, supplied with pump spray lubricant. The hard carry case (LF03681U) and stand configurations are available separately.
