Pitting Edema Simulator (MW1)
The Pitting Edema Simulator (Item No. MW1, 0.15 kg, 10×20cm) by Kyoto Kagaku, Japan is a set of five strap-on models — including one normal case — designed to teach differentiation of pitting edema severity on the lower legs.
Grading based on established clinical reference. Edema grades follow Mosby’s Guide to Physical Examination (7th ed.), with four levels of pitting edema differentiated by pressure and depth of indentation.
Five distinct cases in one set: Normal, 1+ Light Pitting, 2+ Moderate Pitting, 3+ Deep Pitting, and 4+ Very Deep Pitting.
Attaches directly to a manikin or simulated patient. Each model can be attached to the lower leg of a simulated patient or training manikin, letting students assess edema in a realistic clinical context.
Developed under clinical supervision. Production and development supervised by Junji Otaki, Professor of Tokyo Medical University.
Comes complete with: five variations of the strap-on pitting edema model, one piece each. Made from soft resin, latex-free.
