Body Plates BMI 32 / BMI 40 (PH-2) — Patient Size Simulation for Radiation Dose & Image Quality Study
The Body Plates BMI 32 / BMI 40 (Item No. PH-2) by Kyoto Kagaku, Japan simulate the body habitus of patients at BMI 32 or BMI 40, letting radiography students and technologists study how patient size affects radiation dose requirements and resulting image quality — a real clinical variable that’s hard to teach without a size-adjustable phantom.
Two BMI variants for realistic training range. Available as BMI 32 (21 kg) or BMI 40 (34.5 kg), these body plates let institutions train technique adjustment across a meaningful range of patient sizes, rather than working only with a single “average” body phantom that doesn’t reflect the full range of patients technologists encounter in practice.
Designed as an add-on for existing base phantoms. These plates are optional parts for the PH-2, 2B, 2E, and 60 phantom families — meaning institutions already running one of these base CT/radiography phantoms can add realistic larger-patient simulation without purchasing an entirely new system.
