A midsagittal section through the fifth lumbar vertebra, sacrum, and coccyx allows both halves of the pelvis to be disassembled, revealing part of the cauda equina within the vertebral canal — the left half of the fifth lumbar vertebral body is removable for closer examination. This bare-skeleton version is well suited for foundational pelvic anatomy teaching, with two more detailed models in the same series (with ligaments, and with ligaments plus muscles and organs) available for programs requiring greater anatomical depth.
