The CT Colonography Phantom NCCS (Item No. PH-49) by Kyoto Kagaku, Japan is an innovative study tool developed for safe and effective CT colon screening training, letting technologists and radiologists practice polyp detection technique on a realistic, life-size lower torso phantom.
Realistic colon site variation. Cylindrical colon units with polyp-representing targets can be positioned at the ascending colon, descending colon, or rectum within the life-size lower torso phantom — letting students practice polyp detection across the specific anatomical sites where screening actually needs to happen.
Four colon unit types for comprehensive evaluation. Each of the four included colon units has six targets lining the inner wall in sequence, giving students repeated, varied practice identifying polyp-like targets under CT colonography conditions.
Realistic contrast tagging. Contrast agent can be poured into the colon units for tagging — replicating the fecal tagging technique used in real CT colonography protocols to help distinguish stool from polyps during interpretation.
